Eric Giraudet de Boudemange (France, 1983) is an artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans installation, video, performance, and sculpture. His work reflects a sustained inquiry into cultural identity, ecological systems, and bodily experience within a globalized landscape. Using a methodology grounded in field research, he engages with local traditions, folkloric knowledge, and vernacular rituals as tools to explore how information, belief, and natural resources circulate and intertwine within specific territories.

Raised in a farming family, with his father still managing the ancestral corn fields, Giraudet de Boudemange's work frequently returns to questions of land use, vegetal growth, and the body's relationship to landscape. Over the years, his projects have moved from broader cultural commentary toward increasingly personal narratives, blending ecological concerns with the intimacy of fatherhood and lived experience. His installations are often marked by a dark, playful humour and a visual language that shifts between the grotesque and the poetic.

He studied at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (Paris), Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains (Tourcoing), and the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (Amsterdam). His research-based projects have taken shape through residencies at institutions such as La Villa du Parc, where he worked with energy-focused farmers and dowsers; CAC Brétigny, where he founded a pigeon club; and Finis Terrae, where he explored vernacular practices on the island of Ouessant. In the United States, he collaborated with a Cajun healer through Deltaworkers in New Orleans, and in the Netherlands, he developed a project around sport and landscape at Kunsthuis SYB.

Giraudet de Boudemange’s work has been exhibited widely, including solo exhibitions at 1646 (The Hague, 2026), Galerie Martin van Zomeren (Amsterdam, 2025), Mollo (Douarnenez, 2025), La Villa du Parc (Annemasse, 2023), Fries Museum (Leeuwarden, 2017), Punt WG (Amsterdam), Centre d’art les Capucins (Embrun), and Galerie Lily Robert (Paris). He has participated in group shows at Stedelijk Museum, A Tale of a Tub, and Galerie Air de Paris. His performances have been presented at leading venues including Centre Pompidou, Fondation Ricard, La Criée Art Centre, and Le Cyclop in the forest of Fontainebleau.
